Who Am I?

Professionally?

Hi! I’m Kelly. I have been working in Marketing, Communications, and PR since 2009 and have built my career on helping athletes, brands and their teams reap the immense benefits of leveraging content marketing and PR to increase their presence, drive revenue, and boost credibility to get highly measurable results.

With both agency experience and in-house, I specialize in creating holistic marketing and PR strategies that align with your goals, budget, and capacity.

Ok, but can we have an example?

Sure! While working as the Director of Marketing and Communications for USA Diving, some of my responsibilities included creating the commercial plan for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and Trials, including our PR and Communications Plan, Social Media Coverage Plan, Athlete Media Training, and Olympic Trials Media Operations plan. We were able to increase our Social Media following organically by 25% during the span of May-August 2021 and also were able to place our athletes in major news publications including The Today Show, CNN's Morning Show, Good Morning America, USA Today, and ESPN garnering coverage that would have equaled over $9 million in paid media spend.

All of this was accomplished with $0 ad spend.

Personally…

I’m a mom first. Our little family recently relocated back to the East Coast after spending the last several years in Colorado. I enjoy trail running, playing recreational soccer, photography and reading-I’m a huge history nerd-I actually majored in French Literature and History.

I believe in giving back to the next generation of storytellers and enjoy volunteering through mentoring students in the UCCS Sports Management Program as well as other young professionals in my field. Occasionally, I guest-lecture or speak at seminars on Public Relations, Sports Marketing and Communications, Personal Branding, and Social Media Marketing Tactics. I am also still an active member of USA Diving’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council as well as a member of Compete Sports Diversity’s Women in Sports Council.

A previous client described me as scrappy. From working with clients and companies with seemingly unlimited resources to working with a limited-to-no budget, I am able to scale up and scale down. I'm accustomed to being an all-in-one-person Marketing and Communications machine. From copywriting to getting down in the mud at an event and everything in between, chances are I've done it.
